Position: Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst
Location: Palmdale, CA
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, large-scale programs that drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions. The role supports cross-functional teams by building, maintaining, and analyzing integrated schedules to ensure program objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and coordinate Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) aligned with program milestones and objectives.
• Ensure schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated across key functions, including engineering, finance, manufacturing, materials, and quality.
• Track schedule performance and progress using industry-standard project management methodologies.
• Identify critical path activities, logic gaps, and schedule risks; recommend mitigation strategies where needed.
• Perform schedule performance and risk analysis to support informed decision-making.
• Utilize tools and techniques such as Gantt charts, PERT analysis, milestone tracking, and Earned Value Management (EVM) to assess execution health and variances.
• Provide clear, data-driven insights to program leadership to support timely intervention and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and core project management principles.
• Experience supporting medium-to-large, complex programs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in the aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industries.
• Experience with scheduling and performance management tools such as Deltek Cobra and Deltek Acumen Risk.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel, including macros or VBA.
• Experience developing resource-loaded schedules (RLS) and conducting schedule risk assessments (SRA).
• Familiarity with EVMS compliance metrics and industry best practices.
