Warehouse Associate/Fork Lift Driver
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Location: Vandalia, Ohio 45377
Experience: 2+ years of warehouse experience; must have sit-down forklift experience; stand-up forklift or turret truck forklift experience preferred or a plus

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate is essential to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and fulfillment of customer goods. You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires adherence to strict safety protocols, particularly regarding food-grade and chemical/hazardous material handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Efficiently receive, scan, store, and pick inventory using our real-time tracking systems and RF scan guns.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload freight from rail cars, trailers, and other transport vessels.
- Operational Safety: Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including those specific to Hazmat-certified materials and Food-Grade storage requirements.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist with "pick and pack" processes to ensure accurate and timely order completion for our clients.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to 5S or similar workplace organizational standards.
- Quality Control: Perform inbound inspections and report any discrepancies in product quality, lot tracking, or damage immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment preferred.
- Certifications: Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one is highly preferred. Experience handling Hazmat materials is a plus.
- Skills: Ability to use technology, including RF scanners and warehouse management system (WMS) interfaces.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions (including temperature-controlled rooms or freezer facilities where applicable).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
