Inventory Specialist

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Location: Greensboro, NC (On-site)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Position Summary:

Under minimal supervision, the Inventory Specialist reconciles vendor receipts against purchase orders, inspects incoming tableware and collectibles, and enters inventory into the inventory database. Once inventory has been processed, the Inventory Specialist prepares product for shelving and bulk storage in accordance with established procedures. Maintains all safety regulations and meets production benchmarks.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles manufacturer receipts against the packing slip and purchase order
  • Opens receipt boxes as directed by leadership and lays out contents following established procedures
  • Enters inspected inventory into the inventory database
  • Inspects china of all grade factors for quality and ensures that the pattern and piece codes and sizes are correct as identified
  • Coordinates with other departments as required to process inventory
  • Ensures that the product image database is complete, accurate, and up to date, including updating with new piece codes according to established inventory procedures
  • Adds to or changes the inventory database as needed to process product inventory
  • Operates and maintains all tools and equipment necessary for position
  • Organizes area after data entry is complete and prepares area for the next receipt
  • Labels inspected inventory for shelving and handles paperwork as appropriate
  • Moves high volume merchandise off tables onto bulk pallets and shelving carts
  • Assists with cross-trained duties in other departments as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must demonstrate product knowledge as required by level of position
  • Must be able to operate specialized inventory computer systems (including Optical Pattern Identifier) to level required by position
  • Must be able to independently structure and organize regular working activities
  • Must be able to follow detailed procedures and recognize detailed differences in product
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Must be able to work in a pressured, high-volume work environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be familiar with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must have strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have organized work habits and be willing to maintain orderly and clean work area
  • Must follow all safety regulations
  • Standing, walking, bending, and stooping required - often for long periods of time
  • Must be able to occasionally push, pull and climb ladders safely
  • Must be able to occasionally push and pull product carts safely
  • Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 35, occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds and team carry up to 75 pounds
  • Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Replacements' internal and external customers

Equipment and Tools:

  • Must be able to correctly use and maintain a tape measure, razor knife, tape gun, and pallet jack
