Recreational Program Supervisor

Under direct supervision, implements and supervises recreational programs, ensuring compliance with all County policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.

Part-Time Temporary / Seasonal Position: June - August

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
  • Two (2) years experience in a leisure-related field and experience in supervising, planning and directing organized activities.
  • Prior camp experience preferred.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations:

  • Valid CPR and First-Aid certification (required to obtain).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with a good driving record as defined by current insurance carrier.

Required Competencies:

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Special Requirements:

  • Applicant(s) selected for this position must undergo a Level 2 background screening with satisfactory results as determined by HCSO. Candidate must pass pre-employment physical and drug-screening.

Physical Abilities Ability to:

  • lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects.
  • bend, stoop, and squat frequently.
  • communicate effectively using speaking, hearing, writing, and vision skills.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Works closely and actively with others, inside and outside in sometimes noisy conditions.
  • The job risks exposure to extreme heat.

Salary: $16.22 Salary Disclosure: Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity.
