We are looking for a Warehouse Associate - Yard to join our growing team!

We operate 19 branch locations and 13 showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Function: Unload incoming material from LTL and other freight trucks. Work to ensure all material is put away accurately. Rotate material in the yard, ranging from Aquatic Tubs, PVC, and SDR. Keep the yard organized and clean for the organization of all materials that are stored outside.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive the material, tag it, and put it in the proper location out in the yard.
  • Unload all incoming freight and verify the accuracy of the Bill of Lading.
  • Report any damage, out of stock, or low inventory to the direct supervisor.
  • Assist drivers in loading and unloading trucks.
  • Safely unload aquatic tubs, pipes, and other materials for storage out in the yard.
  • Assist your co-workers during peak hours.
  • Keep the yard clean of damaged products and debris.
  • Assist with Inventory Control in counting and organizing materials from the external yard.
  • Assist the inside warehouse crew with staging material that is positioned in the yard.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and uses time wisely.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the plumbing, lighting, or appliance supply industry.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as counting, labeling, and sorting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld barcode scanners.
