Human Resources Coordinator

Coordinates human resource and payroll activities.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the administration and communication of employee benefits and assisting employees through the new hire and open enrollment process.
  • Coordinating payroll activities and auditing for errors.
  • Conducting new hire orientation and overseeing the onboarding process.
  • Providing employee relations support and covering for HR Generalist or HR Manager during periods of absence.
  • Providing employees and managers with information on benefit and compensation programs including leaves of absence.
  • Assisting with recruiting and reviewing employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants; may assist with interviews.
  • Recording and completing unemployment claims and workers compensation claims.
  • Filing and analyzing I-9 forms for accuracy.
  • Creating and maintaining employee files.

Job specifications include:

  • 2+ years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • High School Diploma is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Excellent PC skills with prior HRIS experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience in high growth, small or mid-size manufacturing company is preferred.

Working conditions include:

  • Office, production and warehouse environment.
  • The environment may be wet and cold with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F.
  • Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
