Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that hospital supplies are efficiently managed and distributed to various departments. Your primary duties include pulling orders of essential supplies such as gloves, needles, surgical supplies, masks, gowns, and other personal protective equipment (PPE). You will also be responsible for maintaining stock levels in the warehouse and replenishing products when necessary. Furthermore, you will deliver supplies directly to areas such as the ER department and surgical offices, place materials on racks and shelves, and occasionally help assemble parts if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull orders of hospital supplies and PPE for doctors, nurses, and techs.
  • Ensure warehouse stock is fully stocked and replenished.
  • Hand deliver supplies to specific hospital areas such as ER and surgical offices.
  • Place materials on racks, shelves, bins, or refrigerated rooms according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assist in assembling parts when necessary.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in warehouse inventory management.
  • Proficient in picking, packing, and order pulling.
  • Skilled in using RF scan and material handling.
  • Ability to conduct inventory checks and general labor tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in a team-rich environment with 20+ employees.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Capable of standing for the entire duration of an 8-hour shift.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Comfortable using a computer to input data through EPIC.

Work Environment:

You will work within a small team of 3-5 employees in a smaller hospital setting. The work environment requires wearing a scrub top and any necessary PPE provided based on specific hospital areas. The shift hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with no weekend work required.

This is a Contract position based out of Newberg, OR.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
