Description: Short Staffed Inc. is seeking a dependable Part-Time Forklift Operator to join our team. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, able to perform basic math calculations with or without a calculator, and available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on freight volume. Preferred applicants will have prior dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry, forklift experience in a freight or LTL environment, and a strong attention to detail. Starting pay is $22.85/hour with a night shift schedule of 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and competitive benefits are available for those working 30 hours or more per week. This Motor Carrier Act Exempt position involves efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading palletized and non-palletized freight, operating motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, securing freight within trailers, and using handheld devices to scan and track shipments. The role requires working safely in a non-climate-controlled dock environment and performing physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs frequently (and occasionally more than 70 lbs), as well as walking, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and other movements necessary to complete daily responsibilities.
