What is the Opportunity: Reporting to the EHS Director and Project Manager, the EHS Manager will play an integral role in planning and implementing the safety management program of an exciting new project in Ravensdale, WA. The Howard Hanson Dam Project for the US Army Corps of Engineers is an exciting opportunity to work on a joint venture team, constructing a large scale and complex heavy civil infrastructure project.

What You'll Do Here: Lead the planning and implementation of an effective safety management plan. Provide site specific safety training and orientation to workers, owners and clients. Develop and train supervisors and staff on the Health, Safety and Environmental Manual. Review project plans and project sites before work commences, identifying safety-related risks. Inspect active project sites to evaluate ongoing work conditions to guarantee compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards. Liaise with external parties such as government inspectors, sub-contractors, and general public. Work with project management teams and field workers to implement and devise solutions to safety-related issues on project sites. Work with management to create plans for emergency procedures. Ensure subcontractors and employees comply with safety standards. Represent Aecon at meetings with stakeholders and other organizations on issues regarding workplace health and safety matters. Incident reporting. Incident Investigations. Claims Management.

What You Bring to the Team: 10 years' experience working on heavy civil infrastructure projects, specifically hydroelectric or large scale concrete structures. Minimum 5 years' experience coordinating and managing health and safety for heavy civil infrastructure projects. Construction Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred. Background in Training and/or Education and or experience delivering EHS Training programs to individuals and groups. OSHA 500 Certified is preferred. Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Pay and Benefits: Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
