Education and Experience:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must have interaction with the general public, vendors and consumers
  • Must have working knowledge of office procedures and practice
  • Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable

Job Purpose:

  • Will assist all indigent consumers in applying for benefits
  • Will assist in preparation and in some cases, accompany the customer to hearing and/or appeals court as needed
  • Performs receptionist duties
  • Performs data entry and general secretarial duties

Job Function:

  • Maintains confidentiality of client records
  • Works harmoniously with fellow employees, promoting teamwork
  • Responds courteously to telephone calls, and returns calls in a timely manner
  • Maintains petty cash for building
  • Complies with all Center polices and Unit procedures
  • Attends work regularly and punctually
