Forklift Operator

Onin Staffing is currently hiring Warehouse Checkers/Forklift Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately counting, inspecting, and verifying inbound and outbound freight, ensuring all products meet quality standards and match customer orders.

Responsibilities:

1. Count and verify all inbound products before storage.
2. Compare shipments to the manifest and report shortages or discrepancies.
3. Inspect shipments for damage, infestation, and correct production code dates.
4. Verify outbound shipments to ensure quantity, quality, labeling, and addresses match customer orders.
5. Sign for inbound shipments or accept signatures for outbound shipments when required.
6. Safely operate a forklift or other material handling equipment when needed.
7. Assist with loading and unloading merchandise.
8. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse area.
9. Participate in inventory counts.
10. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

• Ability to work the assigned 1st shift schedule
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
• Ability to read and understand English to identify products
• At least 6 months of warehouse experience
• Ability to lift or move up to 100 lbs when necessary
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and stoop throughout the shift
• Ability to mount and dismount forklifts during the shift

Preferred:

• Experience using automated inventory control systems
