Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team and lead daily maintenance operations at a residential community. The Maintenance Technician will manage maintenance workflows and ensure all systems and units are maintained to the highest standards. Requirements:

• Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians
• Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities, including service requests, work orders, and preventative maintenance
• Manage vendors and contractors, including inventory control and ordering supplies
• Ensure timely and high-quality apartment turnovers and unit readiness
• Perform and supervise repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general maintenance
• Conduct regular inspections of units, buildings, and mechanical systems
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and local building codes
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records using property management software (Yardi preferred)
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance as required

Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 3 years of apartment maintenance experience, including prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and carpentry
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage schedules and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient with computers; experience with Yardi is a plus
• Must possess basic maintenance tools and have reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Maintain a professional demeanor and a strong commitment to quality workmanship
