Job Title
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the data entry of incoming and outgoing shipments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware associated with WMS, including but not limited to scanners, fixed printers, mobile printers, mobile computers, basic network connections, and configuration, and pass relevant information to IT for assistance.
- Systemically adjusts inventory to resolve Warehouse Management System (WMS) versus physical inventory discrepancies.
- Performs slot location checks to validate WMS versus physical inventory, including cycle counts, quantity variance, receiving/shipping, and others as needed. This entails generating reports, physically counting the items, processing the data entry, and creating follow-up reports and required documentation.
- Researches and resolves out-of-stock products using the Warehouse Management System.
- Participate in, and communicate the resolution of, after-action reports on all incidents of a system malfunction, process failures, or human error (pertaining to WMS system integrity and/ or a quality event).
- Perform daily code date verifications (upon receipt).
- Assist in the communication of key labor points with supervision during the shift.
- Autonomously identify issues in data, paperwork, or communication that may interrupt customer-facing business and take preventative action and/ or elevate the issue to the proper level of management (includes a full understanding of information flow between internal departments and external entities).
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- High School education with a business emphasis
- Additional business-related education (tech school or college courses) would be beneficial, but not necessary
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes
- Ability to work independently
- Good organizational and administrative skills to deal with a large volume of paperwork and data flow
- Ability to work with and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers in a team environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Working knowledge of computer systems, programs, and MS Windows environment and related programs.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems
- Prior experience in customer service, shipping, or inventory control would be highly desirable
- Must be willing to learn new systems and programs as the business environment changes
