Position Overview

The In-Home Aide provides personal care, household assistance, and emotional support to clients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role is essential to maintaining client comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Completion of an accredited Nursing Aide program and registration with the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry. Previous nursing assistant experience accepted.

· Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, toileting, mouth care, and grooming.

· Support dressing and mobility, including transfers and ambulation.

· Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.

· Provide light housekeeping, including laundry, linen changes, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

· Assist with shopping, picking up medications, and other household tasks.

· Provide emotional support and companionship according to client needs.

· Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

· Report changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or director.

· Collaborate with agency team members to ensure continuity of care.
