House Attendant

The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of all guest and public areas of the hotel as well as delivering guest requested items in accordance to standards and procedures of the housekeeping department as set forth by Forbes, AAA, Preferred Hotels and Resorts and Chatham Bars Inn.

General Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering guest requested items
• Maintaining cleanliness of the housekeeping break room and storage areas
• Assisting room attendant where necessary
• Removing trash, linen and terry from closets and multi-purpose units
• Delivering supplies, linen and terry to closets and multi-purpose units
• Ensuring all closets and multi-purpose units are kept clean and organized
• Vacuuming and moping hallways, staircases, closets
• Dust and/or polish all surfaces in guestrooms and/or all public areas
• Reporting any maintenance deficiencies, guest requests or complaints to Supervisor
• Carpet maintenance of guestrooms and public areas

Requirements:

• Superior organizational skills
• Can work well independently as well as in a team setting
• Follows direction well
• Able to meet deadlines
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Being flexible and motivated
• Professional appearance and grooming
• Able to work with cleaning chemicals/products
• Valid Driver's License

Compensation: $20.26 - $20.26
