Description
Custodial Supervisor
Kent City Community Schools is a public school district in Kent County dedicated to providing a nurturing environment and to educate all of our 1,200 students to be lifelong learners.
Kent City High School is seeking qualified applicants for the Custodial Supervisor position.
The Custodial Lead supports the daily operations of the District's custodial services program by providing on-site leadership and guidance for custodial staff. This role is hands-on—leading, training, and working alongside team members to ensure buildings are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The Custodial Lead works closely with the Custodial Supervisor and building administration to support efficient and high-quality operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education preferred
- Previous experience in custodial services, facilities, or maintenance required
- Experience in a school or educational setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (email, work orders, scheduling systems)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work evening hours and occasional weekends as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Consistent, regular and reliable attendance
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, read, operate a computer or other devices, reach with hands or arms, and may occasionally push, lift, or move up to 25–50 pounds.
