Human Resources Coordinator And Administrative Assistant To The CFO
The Williston Northampton School, an independent coeducational boarding and day school located in Easthampton, MA, has a full-time, calendar-year opening for a Human Resources Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the CFO. The schedule for the position is Monday through Friday 40 hours per week. Occasional special event coverage as necessary.
Support for the HR Office will include: Assisting the HR Director with the operations of the office, assist with campus hiring, create monthly all employee newsletter, maintain content on employee portal, manage company employee directory, organize annual boundary training, maintain employee personnel files, prepare workman's comp, answer phone from the school's main line, responsible for daily incoming/outgoing mail. Other duties as assigned.
Support for the CFO will include; providing poised admin assistance to the CFO, schedule meetings as requested, serve as point of contact for the office of CFO, act as liaison between the CFO and other departments on campus, organize Board of Trustee subcommittee meetings; attend Board of Trustees meetings and take minutes, maintain filing system for the Business Office. Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must: have four to six years of human resources/administrative assistant experience preferably in an educational or non-profit setting; be able to work intuitively and independently as well as part of the general Business Office team; have strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities as situations arise in fast paced environment; have the ability to understand written and oral instruction; have demonstrated written, interpersonal and communication skills in order to successfully interact with diverse staff, faculty, students and other constituents of the School; possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; be able to work in secondary boarding school atmosphere by successfully passing CORI, SORI and fingerprint based background checks; possess a valid driver's license.
