Yard Driver

The Yard Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, environmentally responsible handling of material and operation of equipment.

This is not a CDL position, more for an operator.

Essential duties/responsibilities/accountabilities include:

• Move bulk material and cargo around yard
• Complete daily paperwork
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, complete daily pre-trip inspection.
• Perform general labor tasks to assist with material processing and property maintenance, or other projects as needed.
• Follow all safety and operational policies, regulations, and programs.
• Successfully complete all required training programs
• Monitor equipment and report any issues or concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist other staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of diesel truck experience, must be able to drive a stick shift
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and transportation required.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts required.

Physical demands/work environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk with alternate standing. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a dry, sometimes dusty warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
