Custodian I/School Bus Driver

The job of Custodian I/School Bus Driver works under the direction of the MOT Director for the purpose of maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility; providing adequate arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; and minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure. As a bus driver, the position is done for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or special excursions; enforcing rules, regulations, and laws to maintain safety during transport; ensuring the vehicle is in a safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Prior job-related experience in school or institutional setting; • Ability to: Carry out oral and written directions; work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work; clean school facilities; and to assist other personnel as may be required; • Valid Driver License and proof of insurance; • High School diploma or equivalent; • Pre-employment physical; • Obtain and maintain a Valid California School Bus Driver's License to be eligible to receive a one time stipend of $2,000 (paid monthly).
