Description

The Suffolk Avenue Warehouse is a 135,000 square foot storage facility that offers a number of distribution and logistics solutions including cross-dock, parcel shipments, online fulfillment, pallet breakdown, and the repacking of commodities.

Warehouse Associate at our facilities work to efficiently and safely transport, track, store, load and unload cargo within a global supply chain. As a member of our team you will be tasked with operating various types of power industrial equipment, used in conjunction with an array of technologies, to quickly and accurately handle freight according to company and governmental standards.

Minimum Requirements

18 years of age or above

Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Ability to work a fluctuating, non-traditional schedule (night and/or weekend hours may be required)

Reliable transportation

Strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions within a team environment

Experience operating Power Industrial Equipment (forklift, etc) is strongly recommended

Preferred, but not Necessary

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Experience handling container cargo (i.e. jockey truck, yard truck, top pick, etc.)

Work Conditions

This position is in a warehouse facility and involves exposure to widely varying temperature ranges, as well as to all environmental weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.). Additionally, extended periods of walking and/or standing are required.

Union

Warehouse Associate is a union position. Initiation fee and union dues are required as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
