HSE Representative
Lead Safety and Risk Management for Civil Infrastructure
Company: D. Grimm, Inc.
Salary/Pay Rate: $65,000 - $90,000+ per year.
Location: Navasota, TX (Frequent travel required).
Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: OSHA 30, OSHA 510 (or equivalent), First Aid/CPR/AED, and a Valid Driver's License.
The Opportunity
You will serve as a vital field leader, driving the development and execution of comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs across diverse civil and energy projects. This role allows you to foster a proactive safety culture while leveraging emerging technologies like AI and drones to mitigate risks. You will have the autonomy to influence field crews and the support of a leadership team dedicated to your professional growth.
How You Will Make an Impact
Supervise and mentor field crews to ensure strict adherence to OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and internal safety protocols.
Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify hazards and verify 100% PPE compliance.
Develop and implement task-specific Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in collaboration with project foremen.
Lead thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent future safety hazards.
Manage the delivery of safety training programs, including OSHA 10/30 and task-specific certifications.
Evaluate and recommend the adoption of emerging safety technologies such as wearables and predictive analytics.
Coordinate the safety integration of the company apprenticeship program to ensure safe on-the-job training.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience specifically within a safety professional role.
Extensive knowledge of federal OSHA 29 CFR 1926, EPA, and state construction regulations.
Proven ability to manage subcontractor safety, pre-qualifications, and orientation programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for the creation of safety metrics, reports, and presentations.
Absolute willingness to travel regularly to project sites and work in various outdoor field conditions.
Demonstrated success in maintaining low incident rates across multi-state or multi-project operations.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills.
Experience in civil construction, energy infrastructure, substations, or transmission line projects.
Background in formal apprenticeship training or mentoring programs.
Advanced knowledge of ISNetworld, Avetta, or other client-specific safety platforms.
