Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts)
Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role is essential in ensuring efficient workflow, delivering high-quality patient care, and maintaining strong collaboration with the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients while maintaining efficient patient flow
  • Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
  • Accurately take and document patient vital signs
  • Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture) and specimen collection
  • Assist with EKG procedures and point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Administer vaccines as directed by clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
  • Provide general clinical and administrative support
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care delivery

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (externships not included)
  • Experience in both front and back office settings
  • Hands-on experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture
  • Familiarity with EKG and POC testing
  • Experience working with EMR systems
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • High attention to detail and patient-focused approach

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred

Certifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
  • BLS or CPR Certification required
    (Non-certified candidates may be considered based on experience)
