Job Summary
The Assembly Operator is responsible for building and assembling mechanical components and finished equipment using engineering drawings and work instructions. This role involves hands-on assembly, inspection, and testing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined.
Responsibilities
• Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished units using hand and power tools
• Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions accurately
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, fit, and functionality
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation while following safety guidelines
Must Haves
• Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring tools
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills
• Experience with heavy equipment, agricultural, or industrial assembly
• Familiarity with torque tools, pneumatic tools, or mechanical troubleshooting
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
• Forklift or material handling experience
