As our Environmental Services Technician at CommonSpirit Health, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized to protect everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards. You'll succeed in this job if you are thorough and committed to safety. Not only will you perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting, you will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize this facility. You are truly the most important component of safety and comfort for our patients, visitors, and staff. A clean facility with kind staff provides so much comfort and peace of mind to patients, their loved ones, and everyone working here.

  • Responsible for completing as assigned, daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and other common areas.
  • Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment, as outlined in the Standard Work cart set up.
  • Practices critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate and properly maintain all EVS tools and equipment needed to clean and disinfect the environment.
  • May be asked to perform tasks according to the various facility needs, including but not limited to: conference room set ups, cleaning of stairwells and elevators, and hanging of cubicle curtains.
