Description
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SailPoint Developer Consultant Engineer to join our cybersecurity and identity management team. In this role, you will support the design, development, integration, and deployment of SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions as part of a large-scale ICAM modernization effort for the U.S. Department of State. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and/or Identity Security Cloud (ICS) ,AKA IdentityNow (IDN), strong IAM fundamentals, and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and support SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or ICS solutions
- Build and maintain workflows, rules, connectors, certifications, provisioning processes, and access request capabilities
- Integrate SailPoint with enterprise systems including Active Directory, LDAP, HR systems, cloud platforms and applications, and federated identity providers
- Support role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and privileged access management initiatives
- Develop and optimize identity lifecycle management processes including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding
- Troubleshoot and resolve SailPoint platform issues, integration failures, and provisioning errors
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to implement secure identity governance solutions
- Support audit readiness, compliance requirements, and access certification campaigns
- Design and develop custom SailPoint components, workflows, and provisioning integrations using Java, BeanShell, and API-based integrations across enterprise ICAM environments
- Support and maintain Privileged Access Management (PAM) infrastructure integrations and identity governance processes within the SailPoint environment
- Participate in system deployment, testing, documentation, and operational support activities
- Support incident response efforts by analyzing security alerts related to identity breaches or anomalies detected through SIEM tools like Splunk or SolarWinds.
- Create detailed documentation including system security plans, process workflows, and compliance reports in accordance with FedRAMP, FISMA, or other regulatory standards.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and technical design discussions
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain one
- 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM)
- Hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or IdentityNow
- Experience developing SailPoint workflows, rules, provisioning integrations, and connectors
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts including SSO, MFA, RBAC, ABAC, federation, and identity lifecycle management
- Experience integrating with systems such as Active Directory, LDAP, Azure AD, Okta, or similar identity platforms
- Preferred Hands-on knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as SAN storage systems, VMware vSphere virtualization platform, Linux (Debian, CentOS), Windows Server environments, and cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of system hardening practices on operating systems including Linux distributions (Ubuntu, openSUSE) and macOS; understanding of encryption protocols such as PKI is essential.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, GIAC Security Certifications or vendor-specific SailPoint certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience working in federal government or highly regulated environments
