Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a full-time on-site role. This position requires strong experience with Playwright, Karate, or similar automation tools. The role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test suites, validating backend and API functionality, conducting performance testing, and ensuring overall product quality across cloud-based applications.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Playwright, Karate, Java-based and JavaScript-based automation frameworks, API testing, performance testing, and AWS-based application environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright, Karate, or similar automation frameworks.
• Strong experience automating UI/portal regression testing using Playwright (preferred) or equivalent tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or WebDriverIO.
• Strong experience with API automation testing using Karate, RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent frameworks.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test strategy, test planning, defect lifecycle management, and automation best practices in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript-based automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, or equivalent.
• Experience with Java-based automation frameworks such as Karate, Selenium with TestNG/JUnit, or similar.
• Strong experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services with automation-first testing approaches.
• Experience with performance and load testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and testing applications deployed in cloud-native environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of database concepts with the ability to write SQL queries for backend validation and test data verification.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills for identifying defects across UI, API, and backend layers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and DevOps teams.
