Driver/Patient Transportation
West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over three decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents, and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. The hospital is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.
West Oaks Hospital is seeking a responsible, friendly, and safety conscious Driver/Patient Transportation to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Driver would be responsible for transportation at both Hornwood and Katy, transporting patients to and from the clinics for scheduled appointments as directed by the Manager, Outpatient Services, Program Therapists, and Nurses to provide supervision, safety, and crisis management for the patient population. To assist in the front office duties.
Job duties include:
- Patient transportation and errands to the hospital
- Responding to behavior crisis and assisting with crisis intervention
- Assisting with clerical duties and miscellaneous needs in the clinic

Qualifications requirements include:
- Education required: High school diploma or GED.
- Current Texas driver's license with good driving record.
- Licensure and certification required: Texas valid Class C driver license, CPR certification, and hospital de-escalation certifications.
- Experience required: Six months of driving and customer service experience.
- Preferred: One year experience as a mental health worker.
