Van Driver (FT)
Valley Hospital is a private 122 bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency counseling services. We are built on three core principles: outstanding care, compassionate people, and unparalleled service. We are seeking a dynamic and talented van driver to join our team. The work schedule varies from 6AM-3PM Mon-Friday, 40 hours per week.
The van driver provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. Reports all van maintenance problems to the Transportation Coordinator Operations. The van driver will be responsible for the van log ensuring that the address and phone numbers are updated. Communicates and consults with the Transportation Coordinator and other staff members regarding patient care issues and information.
Valley Hospital is centrally located with easy access to many areas of greater Phoenix. We are between North 35th and 36th Streets with East Earl to our north and East Thomas to our south. Previous experience as a transportation driver preferred.
Qualifications: Must possess a valid, class specific driver’s license applicable to the transportation of patients. Must agree to MVD check as part of the background check process. Must have valid CPR card prior to start date. Must be 18 years or older and have a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Public Safety. Must complete training in seclusion and restraint procedures (SAMA) within 90 days of employment. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
