BI Developer/Analyst (Mid Level)

Phoenix Energy is seeking a BI Developer / Analyst to lead the development of business intelligence solutions and analytics across operations, minerals, and financial performance. This role is responsible for designing dashboards, developing business-critical metrics, and structuring datasets for scalable analytics. The ideal candidate brings strong BI development experience, solid SQL skills, and the ability to translate complex data into decision-ready insights.

Responsibilities:
BI ownership and development
Advanced analytics and KPI development
Data modeling for BI
SQL and backend development (moderate)
Azure and pipeline integration
Business partnership
Mentorship

Skills:
Strong experience with BI tools (Spotfire preferred)
Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, performance tuning awareness)
Experience working with business stakeholders
Understanding of data modeling concepts
Python or advanced manipulation

Requirements:
3-6 years of experience in BI, analytics, or data development roles
Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering or related field
Experience with Azure data environment
Familiarity with Git or Azure DevOps
Familiarity with the decline curves, downtime coding workflows, artificial lift, or completions datasets
