Scope of Responsibility:
The Sr. Production Planner is responsible for schedules, material flow and support for production, to comply with customer delivery requirements Interfacing with appropriate personnel for scheduling of equipment, the documentation of these activities for accurate reporting and evaluation of trends. Maintain 100% on time delivery and effective EDI utilization.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and effectively communicate a master schedule and operations plan using ERP data and capacity planning techniques
- Creates and communicates daily production work priorities/schedules and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements for the facility
- Complete and send out the daily completion report
- Creates and maintains database for Hardware and arms (this includes section tracker)
- Monitors performance towards established production plans and communicates relevant project information to other departments as appropriate
- Resolve schedule conflicts as they arise and prepare project recovery schedules as needed
- Manage MRP process to convert demands into production supply orders
- Reports to management and across business functions for routine planning updates as well as anticipated constraints or interruptions in the plan
- Ensures product availability for on-time shipments of all customer orders as required by sales and maintains accurate and precise constraint schedules to guarantee the highest level of throughput is realized
- Develop and monitor reporting to measure actual to planned performance
- Supervise Document Control personnel to ensure proper deployment and management of Job Travelers, including blueprints, for purposes of on-going product ID and traceability.
- Ensure teamwork and communication between Document Control, Material Planning, Production Scheduling, and other company personnel.
- Communicate production constraints and (gained) production capacity to Project Managers, plant personnel, and other stakeholders in a timely manner. Coordinate changes in schedules and customer priorities with Project Management and Production teams.
- Review status of purchased components for purposes of identifying constraints to production schedules, and revise, prioritize, or expedite said schedules accordingly.
- Respond to manufacturing operation disruptions and unforeseen conditions impacting schedules and make adjustments accordingly.
- Prompt resolution of all open MRP's
- Responsible for scheduling and executing shipping in coordination with Project Managers § Prompt resolution and follow up with PM's on all IR's that are open
- Manage team to include but not limited to production coordinators, administrators, etc.
- Other duties as assigned, directed, requested, or needed.
Position Requirements:
Education: Two years Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
Experience: Minimum three years manufacturing experience
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and ERP platforms is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry.

- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs (e.g., office supplies, small equipment).
- Visual acuity to review detailed data and reports on screens and in print.
