Job Position: Shipping Receiving / Warehouse Associate

Location: Bluffton, SC 29910

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Shift: Monday - Friday (7:00am to 5:00pm)

Description: Coastal Employment is seeking a reliable and motivated Shipping Receiving / Warehouse Associate to support our client's day-to-day operations within an electrical supply environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient handling of inventory, order fulfillment, and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include receiving incoming shipments, verifying and stocking products, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for shipment or delivery. This role also involves coordinating shipping and receiving activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and utilizing basic computer systems and handheld devices for tracking and order processing.

Candidates will be responsible for safely loading and unloading materials, operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (or willingness to be trained), and making local deliveries as needed. Occasional interaction with customers and assisting at the sales counter may also be required. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment is essential at all times.

Requirements:

Warehouse, distribution, or related experience preferred (electrical supply experience is a plus, but not required)
Ability to identify products by size, type, style, color, or product code
Comfortable using basic computer systems, scanners, and handheld inventory devices
Ability to read and accurately match orders with shipping tickets
Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and problem-solving ability
Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to be trained)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing throughout the shift
Ability to climb ladders for product selection when needed
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness while maintaining a strong commitment to safety
