Description

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is now hiring a Shipping & Receiving Operator I for a well-established manufacturing facility in Richmond, IN. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with warehouse or shipping experience who thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What You'll Do
As a Shipping & Receiving Operator I, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, receiving, and shipping products while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and sign for vendor deliveries
  • Load and unload materials to and from trucks
  • Use ADC barcode scanners to move products and pick orders
  • Prepare shipments using pick tickets and sales orders
  • Package, label, wrap, clean, cap, and box products for shipment
  • Verify packing lists to ensure order accuracy
  • Inspect inbound and outbound materials to prevent damaged shipments
  • Transport materials using dollies, pallet jacks, and electric forklifts
  • Move raw materials and finished goods to designated warehouse locations
  • Repackage containers as needed (Richmond location)
  • Remove waste from warehouse and transport to dumpsters
  • Maintain a clean, organized shipping area in compliance with 6S standards
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet KPIs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
  • Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • ERP system experience (SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, X3, and ADC barcode scanners
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Creative problem-solving and task prioritization skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling required
  • Ability to read screens, reports, and shipping documents
  • Non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment
  • Occasional exposure to noise, odors, or minor safety risks
  • Use of PPE such as gloves or safety glasses as required

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Hours: 7am - 3:30pm
  • Competitive hourly wage of $19
