JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Custodian in Huntsville, AL. Our client is a professional educational facility focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned facilities while following established safety and operational procedures.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:45 PM
Average Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities of a Custodian include:

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, offices, common areas, entrances, vestibules, elevators, stairwells, and other assigned areas.
• Inspect and evaluate assigned areas to ensure cleanliness standards are achieved.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout assigned locations.
• Clean, maintain, and properly store custodial equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain organized and safe custodial storage areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting individuals respectfully and communicating area closures when necessary.
• Report concerns or facility issues to management promptly.
• Follow all industry safety standards and company guidelines.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and operate cleaning equipment safely.

Job Requirements of a Custodian:

• Ability to perform physical cleaning duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion.
• Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong reliability and attendance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• Valid Driver's License required
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
