We have an outstanding Contract position for a File Audit Clerk to join a leading Company located in Laurel, MD.

Pay Rate: $23.68 - $27.05

**US Citizenship is required.**

Contract: Temporary 3 months project

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Benefits File Audit Assistant to support a records review project. This role will focus on auditing employee records to verify that required dependent documentation is properly on file. The position involves reviewing both electronic database records and physical employee files to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review employee records in the Benefits database to identify required dependent documentation.
  • Audit physical employee files to confirm the presence of supporting documents (e.g., birth certificates, marriage certificates).
  • Cross-check electronic and paper records for consistency and completeness.
  • Track and document missing or incomplete records.
  • Maintain organized logs of audit findings and updates.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Follow established procedures for records management and compliance.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Associate's degree preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Filing experience required
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry or database systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior administrative or HR experience preferred but not required.
