Key Responsibilities

  • Apply your expertise to assess, assist, and execute general maintenance tasks while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Prioritize and manage routine and ongoing maintenance projects to meet facility needs and regulatory standards.
  • Track and report progress on maintenance activities, including history, costs, compliance, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain clear communication with staff and management regarding service requests, updates, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with operations leadership on equipment maintenance, project status, and compliance issues.
  • Establish safety zones and use personal protective equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance calls, sometimes independently during shifts.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training of two years is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

A minimum of two years of general maintenance experience is required. Alternatively, five years of experience can substitute for formal technical education.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform necessary calculations.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Mental resilience to work under stress and operate power tools and machinery safely.
  • Must be fit-tested and able to wear an N-95 mask as needed, unless medically exempt.

Working Conditions

This position may involve long periods of standing and walking, exposure to various environmental factors such as heat, cold, noise, chemicals, and occasional contact with patients. The role requires adaptability to challenging conditions while maintaining safety and professionalism.
