Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Sponsorships within the Athletics Department. This part-time, non-exempt (FLSA) graduate assistant student position reports to the Vice President for Athletics, with direct supervision from the Director for Marketing and Sponsorships. The position assists with the day-to-day activities and responsibilities related to the administration, promotion, and branding of Cedarville Athletics.

This position includes a scholarship as part of participation in an approved master's degree program at Cedarville University.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Assist with the growth and development of the Yellow Jacket Club
  • Assist with management of Yellow Jacket Sponsor relationships
  • Assist with game promotions and in-game events
  • Assist with marketing and branding efforts for the Cedarville Athletics brand
  • Assist with the scheduling and oversight of the Stinger mascot
  • Assist with coordinating community service efforts and the Yellow Jacket Virtual Reading Program
  • Assist with oversight of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee
  • Assist with planning and execution of the Golden Jacket Awards
  • Maintain a commitment to NCAA, Conference, and University rule compliance
  • Report any NCAA, Conference, and University rule violations to the Compliance Coordinator
  • Understand that violations of NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated integrity
  • Disciplined time management skills
  • Basic understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Desire to pursue a master's degree
  • Interest in gaining experience toward a career in college athletics
