SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Institutional Services Assistant will provide general cleaning to the public spaces in two housing facilities on the NPC campus and will also assist in classrooms, offices, restrooms, buildings and other areas on campus as time allows. The salary for this position is $31,200.

The Institutional Services Assistant for housing is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, appearance, and operational readiness of public spaces of two campus residential facilities. This position ensures a safe, functional, and welcoming living environment for students by performing daily cleaning, sanitizing, and coordinating facility upkeep of common areas and administrative offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and mop public bathrooms daily.
  • Vacuum carpet per schedule.
  • Dust mop hard floors per schedule.
  • Sweep and wet mop hard floors per schedule.
  • Clean all glass windows and doors.
  • Maintain the custodial supply inventory.
  • Dust daily.
  • Clean all marker boards.
  • Empty all trash receptacles.
  • Monitor buildings and grounds for public safety and security.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two years of custodial experience
  • Computer skills (email/word)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Close vision and sitting at a computer
  • Hand and finger dexterity
  • The ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
