Pay up to $21.15/hour

Shift commitment bonus $2 per hour (40 - perfect attendance)

Essential Job Functions
Collect windshield samples
Cut windshields to create test samples
Prepare samples for specific tests
Conduct body glass fragmentation tests
Test water softener system for each windshield line
Conduct Distortion, Moisture, Pummel, Light Transmission, Boil testing, Ball Drop testing, Opacity testing analysis for all windshield parts
Conduct Robustness testing as needed or required
Conduct follow up testing as required for non-compliant product
Additional testing for the European and Asian Market parts
Key Competencies
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite (Word & Excel)
Ability to work with minimal supervision and limited direction
Ability to compile and compose reports for internal and external purposes
Ability to understand tempered glass and Windshield standards
Familiarity with reading & executing test specifications
Adept at summarizing data and revealing key trends
Detail oriented, able to maintain test logs/results/data
Ability and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and Trust
Requirements
Years of Experience: 1+ years of related lab-based testing experience. Glass industry experience preferred, but not required
Other Requirements: Must be able to work an alternative work schedule to include 12-hour shifts. Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays. Proven knowledge of ANSI European and Asian Market Standards
