ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Meal ticket/menu management, to include printing daily census, checking diet list against diet orders, printing and preparing daily menus for each patient, communicating with Cooks regarding menu changes or special orders, preparation of tickets for Cooks and management of Kardex and menus.
- Patient Liaison, to include visiting patients upon admission, explaining meal ordering process, obtaining, and documenting patient preferences and food allergies, and reporting non-compliant meal choice requests to the Dietitian.
- Nourishment room management, to include stocking of room, disposal of expired items, routine checks for labels with required information are present, removal of leftover patient items, ensuring refrigerator is kept clean, and cleaning condiment bins, containers, and drawers.
- Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of food preparation is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:
Food Handler's certification is required.
