HVAC Service Technician

Description

SUMMARY:

Supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of school facilities and systems. This role ensures that buildings and equipment are maintained to high standards to support student learning and staff needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

• Conduct regular inspections of school buildings, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.

• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.

• Assist with setup and teardown for school events and activities.

• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and district policies.

• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to address facility needs.

• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred.

• Ability to operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery safely.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
OTHER INFORMATION:

• Full-time position; schedule may include occasional evenings or weekends.

• Reports to the Facilities Manager or designated administrator.

Responsible for completing all other duties as assigned by management.
