Job Title:HVAC TechnicianJob Classification:Hourly Non-ExemptDepartment:HVAC Maintenance Reports To:HVAC Maintenance ManagerStatus: Full-Time; On-Site
SUMMARY
The primary focus of a HVAC Technician is to install, service, and repair HVAC equipment and components ranging from wall air conditioner to commercial walk-in coolers. This is a year-round position, reporting to the HVAC Maintenance Manager.
Hours of operation for the summer are currently Sunday through Tuesday 12pm to 8pm and Wednesday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. Shifts for this position may start before operational hours or end after operational hours with evening and weekend hours required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation of HVAC equipment and components, such as commercial restaurant appliances, commercial heating or cooling systems, household appliances, and household heating or cooling systems
- Investigate problems, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and cooling systems
- Check and change air filters on a regular basis
- Perform cleaning duties at workstation to maintain a clean safe work area
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- An 18-month HVAC/R Certificate program preferred
- 2+ years in HVAC/R technical experience preferred
- Thorough analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read electrical schematics, plans, and manuals

- Strong customer service skills, both internal and external
- Experience in working cross functionally with all levels of management
- Proficient in basic computer skills, such as accessing information via Knoebels or other web sites
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to interact with industry professionals, management and team members with great poise and professionalism
