JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Machine Tool Electrician in Davisburg, MI. Our client is an automation equipment manufacturer and integrator. The Machine Tool Electricianis responsible for electrical panel wiring, machine wiring, and assisting with system startup and debug. Candidates should be comfortable reading electrical schematics and working hands-on with industrial control systems.

Responsibilities of a Machine Tool Electricianincludes:

• Wire control panels and machine systems per electrical schematics
• Perform point-to-point wiring for automation equipment and conveyors
• Install and terminate components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motors, and sensors
• Read and interpret electrical prints and ladder diagrams
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during build and system startup
• Assist with machine debug, testing, and commissioning
• Route conduit, cable trays, and wiring harnesses
• Verify proper voltage, continuity, and functionality of systems
• Work closely with engineering and assembly teams
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Job Requirements of a Machine Tool Electrician:

• 3+ years of industrial electrical experience
• Experience wiring machine tools, automation equipment, or conveyor systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and prints
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred)
• Familiarity with VFDs, motors, sensors, and control components
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of industrial electrical standards and safety practices
