Commercial Credit Analyst - Berrien Springs (Full-Time)

This is a Hybrid Work Eligible position. You will be required to come into the Operations Center in Berrien Springs, MI as needed to ensure business needs are met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Receives, reviews, and evaluates business loan requests.
• Assists in the management of the business loan portfolio.
• Primary focus is on loans with smaller aggregates and less complexity but can work on loans of all sizes and complexities.
• Monitors and reviews construction and development loans.
• Assists in collections' activities.
• Serves borrowers and prospective borrowers promptly and professionally.
• Provides general Honor Credit Union information and cross sells services.
• Assists Business Services personnel as needed.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• A College degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• One to three years of lending experience preferred.
• Commercial loan experience preferred.
• Real estate and origination background preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Must have demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
• Knowledge of commercial lending and collections programs.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, specifically Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of applicable NCUA regulations.
• Familiarity with property management and maintenance procedures.
• Understanding of financial analysis and determination of credit worthiness.
• Be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Must be highly detailed.
• Able to use a financial calculator and related computer applications and business machines.
