POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Native Corporation is seekinga strong Accounts Payable Technician. This position may be based in any of our three corporate offices: Huntsville, AL; Anchorage, AK; or Kodiak, AK or remote nationwide.

  • Receive, review, troubleshoot andforward vendor invoices to appropriate approvers.
  • Daily entry ofvendor invoices, internal payment requests and employee travel expenses.
  • Review and select applicable open payable items to be processedon due date.
  • Complete payment processing ofvendor payments.
  • Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements for past due, duplicate charges, or credit invoices on assigned accounts.
  • Maintain electronicfilenaming and storagesystems.
  • Daily correspondence and collaboration via email, phone or messaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other dutiesor special projectsas assigned.

Payrate:$21.00 to $25.00 hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • H.S Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two(2) years ofAccountsPayable experienceis preferred.
  • Detail-oriented teammember who is comfortable in a fast-paced open environment.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team.
  • Ability to understand approval authorities based on Company Policies.
  • Ability to follow directions, written and verbal.
  • Excellentcommunication, customer service,data entryand organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of CostPointisrequired.
