Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Team Lead works with and under the direction of the AP/AR Manager and is responsible for ensuring all A/R departmental operations are completed. He/ She leads all processes associated with customer payment application for both checks and cash, analyzing payment discrepancies, and balancing receivables on a daily basis in an engaged culture focusing on continuous improvement.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure completion, accuracy and efficiency in all departmental responsibilities.
  2. Serve as a lead resource for department team members.
  3. Train, coach, motivate, and appreciate team members.
  4. Hold your team members accountable for reaching individual and team goals.
  5. Maintain, write and ensure adherence to department SOP's
  6. Review/work with AP/AR Manager on items that need completed or improved.
  7. Ensure team provides excellent service to internal and external customers.
  8. Process ACH receivable payments.
  9. Process and Lead Statement Day activities to ensure accurate statements are mailed to our customers.
  10. Analyze Payment Discrepancies and ensure they are up-to-date.
  11. Process and work with the Unapplied and Open Payment Report to ensure that it is up-to-date.
  12. Lead all payment applications and reconciliation processes.
  13. Oversee incoming calls & related customer service
  14. Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
  15. Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.

Job Requirements:

  1. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, spreadsheets and bookkeeping.
  2. Must possess a friendly, helpful and customer focused attitude.
  3. Ability to work in a multi-task, professional environment.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively and express ideas both written and orally.
  5. Ability to delegate work and train others.
  6. Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  7. Ability to work independently
  8. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  1. Knowledge and ability to use the following software: Word, Excel, Outlook

Minimum Qualifications:

        1. 2-year business degree or equivalent experience
        2. 4+ year experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or general office work
        3. Previous experience leading / mentoring teams.
