Material Handler/Stand-up Forklift Operator

About the Role GC Hall LLC is seeking a precision-focused Material Handler / Forklift Operator  to manage the critical flow of inventory for a premier dessert distribution center. This is a fast-paced role where accuracy and safety are the top priorities. You will be responsible for ensuring that high-value food products are moved, stored, and prepared for shipment with total care.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Material Flow:  Orchestrate the movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility, ensuring production lines remain fully supplied.
• Equipment Mastery:  Expertly operate Stand-Up Forklifts, Electric Pallet Jacks, and Reach Trucks in a high-volume warehouse environment (including cold storage/freezer sections).
• Inventory Integrity:  Utilize RF scanners to perform precise cycle counts, bin replenishments, and inventory transfers with zero-error tolerance.
• Logistics Execution:  Direct the loading and unloading of freight trailers, ensuring weight distribution and pallet integrity meet transport standards.
• Safety & Compliance:  Maintain a high-functioning workspace by adhering to rigorous OSHA safety protocols  and 5S organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Proven Experience:  Minimum of 2 years  in Material Handling or Forklift Operation within a high-volume manufacturing or distribution setting.
• Certification:  Active Forklift Certification (Stand-up experience is highly preferred).
• Technical Proficiency:  Demonstrated skill with RF scanning technology and digital warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Reliability:  Exceptional track record of punctuality and a commitment to a " safety-first" work culture.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work comfortably in varying temperatures, including cold storage and freezer environments.
• Physical capacity to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout an 8– 10 hour shift.
