Job Title: Maintenance and Bus Driver
Reports to: Transportation Supervisor or Superintendent

Delton Kellogg Schools is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and student-centered individual to serve in a dual role as a Maintenance / Bus Driver. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient learning environment for our students and staff while also ensuring safe transportation to and from school and school-sponsored events.
Bus Driver Duties
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain order and discipline on the bus
- Follow all state and district transportation policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate route and mileage records
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
Maintenance Duties
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs
- Assist with groundskeeping, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- Support custodial and maintenance team as needed
- Ensure facilities remain safe, clean, and operational
Requirements:
- Valid Michigan Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (or ability to obtain)
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible and dependable
- Must pass background check and pre-employment requirements

The final candidate for this position will be required (at the applicant's cost) to furnish Delton Kellogg with a current Michigan State Police and FBI criminal records check prior to our recommendation for hire.
