Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

A well-established, team-based healthcare organization in the Columbus area is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a primary care provider and an integrated care team.

This practice focuses on high-touch, relationship-driven care, serving patients with complex medical and social needs. The care model brings multiple services together under one roof, allowing providers and support staff to spend more time helping patients manage their health and access the services they need.

This is a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys building relationships with patients, working closely with providers, and being part of a collaborative care team.

What You'll Do

You will work directly with a Primary Care Provider and interdisciplinary care team to support day-to-day clinical operations and patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Room patients and prepare them for visits (in-person or telehealth)
  • Take vitals and perform basic screenings
  • Support preventive care and help close quality care gaps
  • Assist providers with exams and minor procedures
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Administer medications and vaccines with provider authorization
  • Conduct point-of-care testing (EKG, spirometry, etc.)
  • Document patient information in the medical record
  • Perform medication reconciliation
  • Coordinate follow-up visits and referrals
  • Review after-visit instructions with patients
  • Participate in daily care team huddles and pre-visit planning
  • Help ensure smooth clinic flow and support team members as needed
What They're Looking For
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required
  • GXMO Certification
  • 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • CPR certification
  • Strong communication and patient engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinic
  • Basic computer and EMR proficiency
Work Environment

This role is based in a professional outpatient clinical setting and works closely with providers, nurses, and care coordinators. Medical Assistants may use standard clinical equipment and follow infection control protocols.
