Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of invoice processing, vendor communication, reconciliations, and other day-to-day accounting functions in a busy, collaborative environment. Key Requirements:

• Prior accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred, but open to candidates with strong work ethic and reliability
• Experience processing vendor invoices, expense reports, and check runs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
• Able to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently

Main Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, check requests, and employee expense reimbursements
• Reconcile and monitor company credit card activity
• Prepare deposits, issue payments, and follow up on outstanding or uncashed checks
• Maintain accurate AP records, vendor files, and supporting documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with journal entries and general accounting support as needed
• Communicate with vendors regarding payments and missing information
• Support process improvements within the accounts payable function
