General Description
Provide clerical and office support in the Theatre Department office.
Essential Job Duties
1. Provide friendly and helpful customer service by welcoming and assisting visitors in the Theatre Office.
2. Answer phones, direct calls and take accurate phone messages.
3. Make copies and assemble packets and maintain paper supply in copier.
4. Organize and inventory office supplies.
5. Run errands across campus.
6. Assist with social media as requested.
7. Assist with light housekeeping tasks.
8. Assist with designing and developing Theatre Production Programs.
9. Perform other duties, as assigned.
10. Assist in opening and closing the Theatre office in a timely manner during your work hours. (8 a.m. and 5 p.m.)
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
1. Dress appropriately for a professional setting.
2. Be dependable, self-directed and motivated and detail oriented.
3. Ability to use basic office equipment (Computer, Copier, Scanner, Multi-line phone system.)
4. Ability to interact with students, faculty and staff and the public in a positive and effective way.
5. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to follow very specific spoken and written directions.
6. Must adhere to strict ethical and legal requirements concerning confidentiality and protecting private information.
7. Must possess a basic knowledge of theatre including production and terminology.
8. Ability to lift heavy objects at times (estimated 25 pounds) such as boxes of paper. Ability to climb stairs.
